I.T. and Facebook, MySpace 'harming kids' brains'

1. Provide feedback on what you have enjoyed about I.T., how the class could be improved, and what you have learned.

I really enjoyed both making a PowerPoint and IMovie! I learnt how to use IMovie, and made an IMovie about my band's world tour. We also made these cool PowerPoints about the future. We also used other things such as wikispaces, xtranormal and google apps. I think this was a really fun way to teach use kids new programs like these. All in all, I think this was a really great class!

2. Read the following article and post response

Well, I do think they're right, but also incorrect. I think other ways of socializing like Facebook, Friendster or Myspace, are a great way to meet people and talk to your friends, but I also think there should be some kind of age limit. Of course people younger than 13 join these websites, but probably 11 or 12 should be the youngest age.

Malaysia...

Before I went to Malaysia, I had lived in the Philippines, my home country, and Australia. When I found out my family was moving to Malaysia, I thought it was a country with Asians, obviously, but I didn't know that it was as civilized as this, judging from the tourist pictures I've seen, or the fact that it was a muslim country and that people couldn't eat, wear or touch certain things. Since I'm from the Philippines, and the majority of people in the Philippines are Christian, we can eat, wear or touch anything we want right? When I found out women were not allowed to show their hair, kept it covered up, people here could not eat pork, or touch dogs, I was like "Really? Well that's...ok." But there are three different kinds of Malaysians; Malaysian (Muslim), Malaysian Indian and Malaysian Chinese. And, of course, Chinese people can eat meat.

ISKL Slideshow...

Here are some photos of ISKL...
I chose these photos because I really think that they, first of all, show what ISKL LOOKS like, and, second of all, show some things that we do here at ISKL; not just that we go to our classes in school and go to our lockers, there are the six SLR's (School-wide learning results):
  1. Think Creatively
  2. Reason Critically
  3. Communicate Effectively
  4. Collaborate Constructively
  5. Learn Enthusiastically
  6. Live Ethically
